Gail, you are the sweetest lady. Thank you soooo much for this encouragement. We miss you. And we'll definitely be praying for you and Joe in your "new assignment" as well. Please keep in touch.

Stephen and Annette

When God calls He provides. How do I know I have been there. Forty-six years. It really does help to know that the wife is called as well. It sure seems that Annette is called and dedicated to God, you and your family.

I am concerned about Annette's back problems but God wrote the book and He will provide the way there also. When two people are so in love with the Lord He is not going to let you down in your service to Him. Nothing will be lacking.

Things are exciting and overwhelming right now, but as things begin to unfold you are going to be more overwhelmed and amazed at the wonder of it all. Looking for a house and getting your house taken care of and your financial needs will all be taken care of.

I married a minister who was my high school sweet heart! He was not going to be a minister when we met or when we became engaged. The funny thing is I knew God called me to be a minister's wife. So how could I marry Joe. Well I just told God "I know he is not going to be a minister but I am going to marry him any way" I was shaking in my boots for fear of what God would do, cause I was clearly not following His plan for my life. I never told Joe that I was to marry a minister, some how God kept me quite and He knew His plan for Joe and did not want me to mess it up. I found out about six months before we married he was called to be a minister. Praise God He is in charge and we just have to let Him do His work in us.

I am not saying it is all going to be a bed of roses but as my minister's wife told me there will be more ups than downs. You can be sure that the devil is not happy. He does not want to see a church planted. Joe and I are in our sixties and still doing God's will. There have been bumps in the road, health issues, finance, (but we have never wanted for anything). When there has been a need it has been met in one way or another. God is so good. He loves those who do is command and follow His will.

One little hint when serving and dealing with people let God be in control by this I mean you are dealing with a lot of personalities and if you have not felt the power of the devil dealing with others be aware that he uses unaware people to try to steal your joy. So remember to put on the breast plate of Christ each morning. I do not mean to sound negative but over many years it has happened to us but we have overcome. Many of our friends however have left the ministry because of this. So I am saying God is bigger than any hut you could ever suffer through your ministry to let you give up.

I know your service at WRC is going to be missed. I love all of you although I never got to meet the little boy. Annette could be an actress. Maybe she can get into some stage shows there and help your finance!

Maybe you will run into Laura and Tim in Char. sometime. They come there some. Work related.

joe is going to become the by-vocational pastor at Pleasant Grove in Villa Rica. It is a small church but a loving group of people. We have served in large churches and small I think this is the smallest but they are in recovery from a bad experience. Remember us and the church in your prayers.

May God give you both more of His Grace. I have found it is sufficient for me.

Joe and I will be praying for you as you begin a new work.
