a/b the Parrises
We are the Parrises… Stephen (the dad), Annette (the mom), McKenna (the 4 year old daughter), Caia (the 1 year old daughter / middle child), and Jackson (the little guy). Stephen is currently the Program Director of the Worship Arts team at West Ridge Church in Dallas, GA. But God has called us to be part of a a NEW church (planted by West Ridge) in Charleston, SC, called River Church. Stephen will be the Arts and Innovation Pastor, giving leadership to the areas of Worship, Production, and Technology.
Stephen grew up in the Atlanta area and graduated from Georgia Tech in 1999 with a degree in Architecture. He then served as a youth pastor before diving head first into the world of production at North Point Community Church as the Technical Director for the Student Ministry. Just before 9/11, he scooted across town to West Ridge where he got to know a foxy kindergarten teacher named Annette. They quickly fell in love and were married in 2002. Annette also grew up in the Atlanta area where she graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2000. She taught kindergarten until just after McKenna was born. She then took a part-time teaching position at a university model elementary school where she remained until Caia was born. Since then, she has devoted herself to making the Parris home an exciting place to live, and to writing about that excitement on her popular blog which is read by dozens each day, More Lucy Than June.
